A 48ft 1980 R & D Fabrications 5 berth traditional stern narrowboat.
North Star is a beautifully compact narrowboat with great potential to be the perfect home or holiday retreat. Externally she has been painted in glossy navy and red tones, and internally a stylish grey and wood effect theme features throughout.
Working from the back of the boat to the front, steps from the stern deck lead into a good sized engine room with lots of space to store all the necessary paraphernalia that narrowboating requires! A single door then opens into the first accommodation cabin, which consists of seating which can be converted to provide either a double bed or a single. There is then cupboard and wardrobe space.
A walk-through bathroom makes optimum use of available space and includes a vanity unit with washbasin and mirror, a WC and a generously sized smart shower cubicle.
The galley and saloon is open plan. The galley includes a Russell Hobbs cooker, under-counter fridge/freezer, sink with space for a draining rack, and various cupboards and drawers.
The saloon is a modern area at the front of the boat, with plenty of shelving space beneath the windows. The dining table can be removed and its seating extended to create a further double berth, and a settee by the door makes an additional single berth possible. In the corner is a solid fuel stove allowing a cosy fire in the evening!
Double doors lead to the front deck where the outdoors can be appreciated.
